India@75: The Scorecard
In 2022, India will be celebrating 75 years as an independent nation. The vision for the country at this important milestone, developed by CII through almost 1,000 interviews with 5,500 people from all walks of life, was to see an India of economic strength, technological vitality and moral leadership. With three years remaining, this is the time to celebrate the country’s achievements thus far, reflect on goals and set the vision for the future.

Session Focus: Road towards India@75 and the collaborative measures which need to be taken to achieve a common vision for India at this important milestone.

Navigating Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA)
A rapidly changing global environment, characterized by its volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity is permeating all aspects of modern life. Despite the challenges this tumultuous global environment presents, India has the capacity to develop comparative advantages by greatly increasing the use of digitally connected products that will lead to greater ‘servitization’ of businesses, driving growth and job creation.

Session Focus: Opportunities and challenges that the VUCA world presents to India and navigating VUCA to India’s advantage.

Building Trust
India’s vision for 2022 includes moral leadership, governance and public administration. The phase of ‘trust deficit’ that the country is currently passing through, applying to the Industry’s relationship with the Government, the Society and – at times – its shareholders, presents a need for introspection in understanding what measures are required to build trust among diverse stakeholders.

Session Focus: Deliberations on how Industry can deal with imperatives of corporate governance and CSR, along with suggestions on how there can be more trust in the system.

Agenda for the New Government
With general elections now underway, the next government would need to pull millions of people from below and poverty line.

Session Focus: Five high-priority reforms and collaboration between central and state governments to implement them.

India 5.0: India@75 and Beyond – Special Session with Secretaries to Government of India
Key Secretaries to Government of India will deliberate on the emerging contours of their sectors that will lead into India@75 over the next three years and further.

There will be a number of engaging sessions one should also look out for during the CII Annual Session such as:
  • Future of Financing
    • Session Focus: The role of banking in the future, the role of technology in prevention of fraud and expectations of financial institutions from the Industry
  • Factories of the Future
    • Session Focus: Embracing Industry 4.0 to produce better quality products at a faster pace, lower costs and in an environmentally sustainable way.
  • Packaging to Unpack Agriculture Value:
    • Session Focus: Harnessing technology to maximize consumer satisfaction and sowing the seeds of a progressive food processing sector.
