The emerging technologies are representing an unprecedented opportunity for the enterprise and the public sector. With the combination of smart devices and emerging technologies, every institution will be able to radically streamline and enhance the existing processes, transform the business models, and develop innovative products and services for a new generation of consumers. At the time, when the world is undergoing a major technological revolution, the role of emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, AR/VR, ML in the near future can’t be undermined.

The road ahead for the manufacturing sector

Undoubtedly, the Indian manufacturing sector has suffered immensely due to the pandemic. As things seem to return to normal, serious efforts are being made to revamp the sector. Efforts must be made to unlock the prospective potential of smart technologies to make manufacturing more coherent and increase the output efficiently. Apart from helping the sector overcome the ramifications caused by the pandemic, this will also drive India to the goal of emerging as a global manufacturing hub.

All major sectors have witnessed a digital overhaul in the last few years, and transportation & mobility is no exception. The launch of on-demand ride services a few years ago entirely changed the way people get from one place to another. Today, commuters just need their smartphones to book a ride, which takes no more than a few minutes. Riding services are now focusing on ensuring more safety and security for passengers and are working towards introducing better features to match their needs. Moreover, ride-sharing services don’t only help saving money but is a more sustainable and environment-friendly option as it helps reduces fuel-consumption.

However, if we look at the future, self-driving cars and autonomous vehicles will soon become a reality. From flying drones to high-speed bullet trains, from jets to hoverbikes, the ongoing mobility revolution is progressing at a fast pace and will change the world drastically in the times to come.

CII IntelliGen Summit 2021 – A CII Initiative

With an aim to explore the future of technological transformation, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has taken a maiden initiative to organize the 1st edition of the IntelliGen Summit 2021, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). 

The 2-day conference themed “Integrating Society and Economy with Intelligent Products, Technology and Services” will be held from 21st to 22nd September 2021, over a virtual platform. The sessions will explore the future of human-machine integration and interaction, ways to technologically empower the businesses and the society with intelligent devices, and the solutions and services needed to accelerate intelligent transformation.
